This guy got lambasted for sticking up for his wife against the press. It only made me like and respect him a great deal. They look like such nice people. All the best to the Crown Prince on his birthday, and all the best to his family as well.

Same sofa, same wall, same table, same smiles and pretty much same outfits as previous years. I really wish the IHA would release these people from their gilded cages and let them do the immense amount of good they are capable of and willing to do.

Why do they always take their photos in a soundproofed room?

Absolutely! He is a wonderful example of how to be a supportive husband, especially against the backlash that he received at the time.

Happy birthday greetings to Crown Prince Naruhito. May Japan India friendship may grow from strength to strength in coming years.

Theeastisred, that isn't soundproofing but a type of wall that was popular in the 70s.

if someone had told me this photo was taken in 1984, I would have believed it. Are they buying clothes and furniture from the thrift store?

Well he got himself in that situation by begging her to marry him and making promises that she wouldn't have to do anything.

Prince Naruhito has recently made new is the US be gently but firmly reminding Priime Minister Abe and Co. not whitewash Japan's involvement in WWII. This man has a lot of courage and I feel a whole lot better knowing that when his great father inevitably passes that he will take the reigns.

Happy Birthday to His Majesty the Crown Prince, and best of wishes and blessings to his wife and daughter. I admire him, too, for the way he has stood up for his wife and making ti clear, as well ,that, when his daughter was in school she was to receive no special favours. He seems like a down-to-earth gentleman.

Happy birthday to the Prince. I hope he got some tools for his birthday. I don't see a single one hanging from that peg board behind. It is kind of nice that his family has a couch in the garage so they can hang out with him while he is working on the royal Rolls.
