I'm glad to see Hallowe'en spreading, though it will never be like what it is in NA, and most people do not know the history. The important thing is that people have fun.

Did you hear about the pirate that burned his ship for the insurance money?

He was arrested for AARRRRRRRson.

The pirate is cute, as is her sidekick. And I see there is a witch behind them.

Yeah, I like this idea of pirates hijacking an old Irish festival and making it their own by parading it . It would be hilarious for the Irish to dress up as priests and nuns and hijack the Japanese Kanamara Phallus Matsuri

Heh. Most people in NA don't know the history of "All Hallows Eve". Most only know it as a night when they get to do a little extortion for candy (as a kid) or dress up crazily and party hearty (as an adult). Me? I have Japanese class tonight and we're combining the JPN201 and JPN101 classes for a ハロウィーンパーティ. I'm cheating and using my football referee uniform as my "costume". :-D

I had a bloody fantastic time this year for Halloween. I was in the UK last eyar and about a thousand months pregnant the year before (although I had a great pumpkin costume using only body paint!) so I made up for it this year. Cant wait for next year now - already planning my costume! Tinkerbell or a red devil? decisions, decisions....
