The dance crew Next Jr, from Japan, competes in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship for the Junior Crew Division, ages 8-12, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday. B-boys, poppers, lockers and all-stylers from more than 40 countries participated in their national championships sending the top dance crews and MegaCrews to the Orleans Hotel Arena in Las Vegas for a chance at the gold medals and to be named the best in the world.

To be honest i am averse to most hip hop music. Though in this case seeing youngsters happy and using their energy in good way is great to see. I would much rather one of my kids did this in their spare time than watching television or playing video games

Eh, the kids seem to like it and it's harmless. Cracks me up every time, seeing the college students dancing in front of the library windows. My only gripe is when they put it into movies. Was going to see The Great Gatsby till I learned that it's an ALL hip-hop soundtrack. No thanks.

Hip Hop and other music in that genre is just as valid as any other type of music. The same inventors of hip hop also invented rock, jazz, R&B and etc.......
I usually find that the people who complain the most about something do it because they have no skill in it themselves. Complainers complain about that things they cant do well.
