Being a Kiwi, it's always the All Blacks, but one big congratulations to the Japanese Team. Can't wait until the All Blacks come in November.

Ouch! Were they playing the B team?
StormR
Yes, but still it will be entered into the history book as Wales.
They should have called themselves Wales B but they thought japan would be a push over so wouldnt need to.

play Wales best 15 in Cardiff. Score Japan less than 20, Wales not more than 120. fact. and I'm not Welsh

Game was just shown on BBC.Commenting after the game they said Japan played well.Yes it's not Wales best team, but it is great for Japanese rugby.I am Scottish so rejoice every time games go against prediction.

But this wasn't played in Cardiff. And the Welsh RFU had a choice and went ahead with this test match in Japan. Regardless of how many Welsh players are with the Lions (thanks to Gatlands Welsh-biased selection), every top rugby nation has 30 first-choice players so this is a top result. Gatland is/ was the Welsh head coach and he would have had input to arranging this test in Japan plus the Lions schedule. No excuses.

Wales were slaughtered. Japan played to their strength.
