Do we really need more American culture? Isn't it enough that all culture loosing their identity?
Eigen
There is ALWAYS room for chicken wings, Martine. :)
Wakarimasen
Sweet, even though Hooters food is average and the "titillation" lame.
slumdog
Martine,
It is possible to embrace other cultures while still maintaining your own.
FizzBit
Gee Mr Muller, I wonder where the Americans got the idea of large breasted women and beer gardens?
Ah! I get it. You're talking about the dyed hair. Sorry
CGB Spender
The difference is that most Japanese are welcoming other cultures while still holding their own culture very high. Unlike several other countries that loose their culture by just copying it from other countries.

Please note the correct word is "lose," not "loose," in this case.

Go to a restaurant OR, if you must, go to a titty bar. This looks so lame.
FizzBit
Does the middle waitress(black hair) have some type of crown on her head? Is she the Hooters Queen?
Yubaru
You can have the wings, I'll take the breasts!
pizzatime
I wanna be sandwiched by them ALL
CrazyJoe
Do they have a kid's menu?
Thunderbird2
Sorry, but this just looks tacky.
some14some

Is there some place where you can check out all the photos of the girls in each restaurant?
slumdog
Yes, go to the restaurants.

Firstly, I think you missed the point CGB. Its about the generation gap, which one of the posters was alluding too. You may think Japanese are holding on to their culture in spite of all the American influences, but the younger generation isn't. Western, or should I say, American and European excessive have saturated almost every market in Japan. Japanese are slowly losing interest in more traditional mainstream Japanese tastes, and are more excited about the internationalization of their country. It's called decadence.

Not the type of place i would choose to eat at. If i wanted to eat lower end food i would go to BK or KFC and not be surrounded by drooling sexist's.
Harry_Gatto
Why are those guys having to line up to get served? Just what are the staff there for?
Gaijin Desi
I am OK unless they do not use pads @v@
Fadamor
So women serving customers while wearing tank tops and shorts is "American Culture"? Who knew?
They DID go to a restaurant. As for that other kind of bar, you'll never see that at a Hooters.
Considering girls 3, 4, and 5 are wearing sashes in addition to the standard uniform, I'd say they were contest winners of SOME sort.
"Drooling sexists"? Really? Just so you know, (at least in America) customers making inappropriate comments/suggestions to the wait staff are asked to leave by management. The business relies on having attractive wait staff and if the customers are causing the attractive wait staff to quit, then the business fails. Hooters is a perfect example of a business where the customer ISN'T "always right".

When someone misses the point this much, there's no point in even trying to explain.

Hooters was silly in the states and it's sillier here, but hell everyone has to make money and why not make it off drunks.
As for me I'll keep going to places that serve great food.
yabits
Ah, Hooters. LOL.
I wonder if anyone recalls that they once ran an airline. Larry the Cable Guy said that it was the one time he bought an aisle seat and prayed for turbulence.
malfupete
Hooters: come for the wings, stay for the in-depth conversations
I think everyone should go to Hooters at least once during their life
Fadamor
How convenient. Accuse someone of "missing the point", then make no attempt to back up your random comment so you can't be embarrassed when you're proved wrong.
choiwaruoyaji
They should start selling Hooters costumes at Don Quixote (near the lingerie section).
Then we can buy them for our wives and girlfriends and have that same great service at home.
ultradarkmelvin
Having beers at a salaryman packed Hooters in Otemachi seems like a depressing way to lead your life.
oberst
Of course they have a kid's menu....... no breasts , wings only. For adult, you can have thighs , legs and breasts, no wings,.
malfupete
breasts are my favourite part... uh, of the chicken..
sushilover
Chicken and chicks! Heaven! Succulent breasts; firm, juicy thighs; legs to die for... So hot, so spicy. I'm droolin. Where's the tissues?
Fadamor
HORRORS! You mean they hire these girls only for their LOOKS!?! I was going to take issue with this, but...
You're right. The wait staff policy at Hooters is discriminatory... males will never be allowed to serve tables in a Hooters restaurant.
Oh... you were talking about the way they dress the wait staff? Then be sure to apply the same measurement to any other establishment that has uniforms that bare the arms and legs (miniskirts and such). I say "bare" the legs, but you'll notice these girls are all wearing pantyhose so "bare" isn't that accurate. Pantyhose is part of the uniform. So you have tank tops, shorts, panty hose, white socks, and white shoes (usually walking shoes) as the uniform. Makeup must be subdued, not overly done. "Tats" that would otherwise be visible must be covered with theatrical make-up, and excessive jewelry removed. If that sounds like a "sexist paradise" to you, then whatever.

@ Fadamor
Rigt , i get it , you like most guys in Japan love feminism. But this type, yeah the girls love the work and the pervs, they feel liberated from showing their bodies. Just like prostitutes, who are ok in feminist guys eyes in case things are going to well at home. At the same time these "liberal feminists" expect their wives or girlfriends to work in the name of liberation because they either cannot or do not want to look after their family.
These are the types and of course the no hoper's that go to these places .
sushilover
How about retired sumo wrestlers? Some of them have just the right equipment upstairs. Boing!
Realistic
damn old! most of them seems from Akasaka branch!
