Japanese is perfectly expressive enough to convey intention without resorting to this. Why can't Japanese appreciate Japanese? It's going to get to the point that Engrish has replaced most verbs while limiting growth in Japanese words and no one is going to have a clue. Making English Japanese is not using Japanese or English. I'm sorry it bothers me when a perfectly good language is replaced with bad language.

perhaps for those who are intoxicated by Abenomics.

Gotta love the English education in this country.

I saw a review on the net. There's good quality booze. For 1,000 yen extra you can get a second hour of all-you-can-drink. Sssh! Don't tell anyone.

When was the last time you could even buy a beer at the store for 1 dollar in Japan.

Not since WWI I would believe seeing as how it's yen.

BUT I know of places that sell beer for 100 yen, and during the summer there are places that have campaigns offering beer for 10 yen per mug.

Japlish at its best. But, who cares, you get the gist of it and that's all that counts.

It's still cheaper to buy a bottle of your choice of liquor, the mix for it and drink it in 60 minutes.

4000 for all you can drink in 60 minutes is a good incentive to binge drinking. Unless you are in college, who would like to race against the clock instead of appreciating every sip of a good beverage?

Hmm free for 4000 yen....

Every hour after is 1000 yen.

And if you can beat Uji-born and Kishiwada-raised foreign staff Chris at arm-wrestling, it's free! If you lose you have to buy champagne (separately charged). Apparently he is a bit of a beefcake.

Did any one else have "penny beers" at their college town? It was 500 yen to get in, and the cheap beer was only 1 penny! Of course the place made a killing on mix drinks and food. Too many people were getting wasted and the town outlawed penny beers. After that they would have dollar beers. When was the last time you could even buy a beer at the store for 1 dollar in Japan.

Only 4000? That's far more than most good 2 hour service eat and drink places here, and almost twice as much as many high class places for two hours.

It's a joke on the fact that the Japanese and English meanings of "free drink" are very different. Don't take it literally. Also Kitashinchi is a very expensive area.

Somebody needs to learn English. engrish.com is an amusement site, but this is real. Just ask one of the English native speakers if it makes sense. It obviously makes cents.

But then you dont have the ambiance!

Technically it's perfectly valid to use "free drink" in the way Japan uses it, despite it being a different connotation in most native speaking countries. More so when you consider it as a table charge rather than drink charge, since it is time based service rather than a true "all-you-can-drink".
