They should have also included a statue of Shotaro, the kid who controlled Tetsujin with his remote control, in the same scale. Tetsujin could not move around on his own.

He should go to Fukushima.

Matt of 'Where the Hell is Matt?' fame danced there this past spring...

.. but is he ready to fight for right, against wrong..?

It definitely looks bigger than big and perhaps taller than tall too.

Looks hot enough to fry an egg on.

A pot bellied stove as a superhero? Um...okay.

If you look closely, it looks like the kids left hand is pulling a dolly in a slingshot to hit Ironman in the nuts and bolts area.

@Mark_McCracken

there are still spots near shinnagata that are bare due to the earthquake (homes not rebuilt)

I used to watch "Gigantor" back in the '60s. It was fun.

This place looked like a war zone after the Kobe quake and fires. Audible gasps from people as they rode the JR line through the area where Iron Man now stands. Seeing the results of a decade and a half of rebuilding makes it easier to feel confident about the future of the areas destroyed in the March 2011 tsunami.

Boy, this brings back memories. I watch it on TV (black and white) when I was living in Japan in the mid 60's.

I think the photo here as been enlarged from the original, so that is why it has pixelated a bit. Click the photo to see the original size.

Iron man is correct. It's most definitely NOT Iron Man.

i prefer Tetsujin-28 to the American Iron Man.

Um...... it's the same thing!

So funny and so cool. i prefer Tetsujin-28 to the American Iron Man. That kid looks like he want to pick a fight.

Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all? Or if he moves will he fall?
