These people are really happy. I find baseball emotions meaningless, especially when only a few countries in the wrold play this game, but for them baseball means a lot, so let them be happy. Maybe their life is dull and this brings excitement in their boring environment. And pride.

i'm glad Japan beat Korea because Koreans are possibly the most annoyingly nationalistic people in the world.

Good steady pitching! And yet again the Aoki and the true batters shone! The Bums and Bongs were silenced today! I thought Japan would lose this one, but they made a statement here I believe. I look forward to a Venezuala VS Japan final.!!!

Japan for a well-orchestrated win. Lacking genuine batting firepower, the tried and true Japanese method of slow, methodical baseball won out at the end of the day. Almost flawless coaching, and nearly flawless execution on the part of the players. If they continue with the same steady pace, they should do more than well against the battered US team.

Good to see that this time Japan did not respond to the mound flag-planting episode and just shook hands and walked off. Why don't the WBC organisers put a stop to the planting of national flags on the mound after a win ? It's a provocative move designed to inflame nationalistic issues and Korea are allowed to do it EVERY TIME. I know that most Japanese people are very protective of their country, but the Koreans are over-aggressive with it.

Just a game?

I am am very happy Japan won because I still have not forgiven Korea for the cheating against the USA, Italy and Spain in the 2002 WC. Very poor sportsmanship indeed and their flag raising is a disgrace.

Japan did not do this because they are adults. Unlike the childish behavior of the Koreans.

HA! A part of Korean fan base is definitely made of sore winners AND sore losers. I remember that when Switzerland beat Korea in 2006 world cup, thausends of korean fans attacked the FIFA website and started a petition to play this game again.

WAY TO GO JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats, hopefully you can prove yourself with USA.

I do not like red noses. Korea was defeated because they put a little flag on the game ground after Japan lost the previous game. That flag made Japan get really angry and excited about next game. Japan did not do this because Japan does not want Korea get much much angry in the final.
