It looks like they are wearing picnic table cloth.
Droll Quarry
Let’s see.... quasi sailor uniform inspired tops, complete with hash marks on the sleeves, meshed with a plaid "maid type" double breasted apron like affair..... under which you put a lime green plaid underskirt and top the whole thing off with lace up hooker boots!!!!!! Do we have all the fashion fupa, poor taste, hentai bases covered or what?
papigiulio
@matthew I doubt many otakus would mind dining on that cloth.
Betraythetrust!
How original! Yawn.
nath
Hope this group keeps it RATED "G" for children.

Which are the Indonesian girls?
some14some
After His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama pic this morning we have now Her Highness JKT48 - a real Dilemma !
Okinawamike
Which are the Indonesian girls?
The ones who's knees are not knocked together!
nath
@JapanGal & OkinawaMike: The ones not making the V "peace" sign would be my guess.
gogogo
NTY48 (No Thank You 48) is what I am waiting for...
Okinawamike
The ones not making the V "peace" sign would be my guess.
By George I think you've got it.

None of them look Indonesian. Not that it matters. The world is being taken over by +++48 groups. Soon they will spread westwards and make their Svengali an even richer man. USA48? BRA48? RUS48? The infantilisation of the workld continues. Japan was once again way ahead of the rest.
FaWo28
@JapanGal and @Okinawamike Rena Nozawa, Shania Junianatha, Melody Nurramdhani Laksani and Ayana Shahab they're from Indonesia.

Cool! I wonder if they will sing in Indonesian or Japanese or ??

Who wants to watch little Muslim girls prancing their tushies around, right?
Gaijintoday
I don't exactly care about their band their brand or the music, catchy though I must admit and can grow on you. But they are gorgeous, all of them, all these Asian girl bands, no question. I like seeing them acting up and being cute on TV shows, I find that enjoyable. I don't mind seeing them paraded around, however, not at the cost of their consent and happiness, but hey that's show business.
In a nutshell; I like being bombarded at every corner by beautiful things.
I don't mind it at all.
Not in the slightest.
Simple as that.
akkk1
J-pop girl groups look so childlike compared to girls of K-pop
lostrune2
Jakartans know they're oogling little Muslim JKT girls, yes?

Rena Nozawa (left most in the photo) is actually Japanese but her family moved to Indonesia a few years ago. Third and fourth from left are Japanese (names are a giveaway, no?)
This is just the tip of the iceberg. AKB producer Akimoto has already set up SNH48 (based in Shanghai) with the initial members already chosen. There were plans of TPE48 (Taipei) even from early this year. I dunno how far globally that man wants to expand his enterprise lol.

I will be starting my own group in 2013. It will be called FGD88 ( Foreign Gaijin Dudes ), I plan to go big with a 88 crew. Anyone want in? Holla back soon :)
smithinjapan
Oh, the originality! Do they sing the same songs in Bhahasa? I bet they do. As for the people rating these girls from left to right (or whatever other order), they look like they're barely in junior highschool. That's just sick!
duke
to smithinjapan: "barely junior high school.." jr high here is age 12 (grade 7 in n. america). So they look like 11 going on 12 years old to you? ok... to me they look around 16-18. As for people grading them, nothing wrong with people saying what they think is cute, or whatever. Why is it "sick?" Sick is perhaps what you are imagining the scores to be in reference to.
duke
correction: jr high in japan is age 12-14
smithinjapan
duke: Correction. Junior highschool STARTS at 12 years of age (give or take, depending on date of birth), and ends at roughly 15.
"So they look like 11 going on 12 years old to you?"
Yes, particularly the girl on the far left.
"Why is it "sick?" Sick is perhaps what you are imagining the scores to be in reference to."
Why is looking at little girls and saying, "Oh yes!" sick? I'm sorry I have to even answer that for you.
shanabelle
Oh my bejeezus....it's the attack of the clones!
tkoind2
It is spreading like some kind of zombie plague. A tide of sickeningly cute child bands destined to taint the airways with vacuous "music".
Sometimes I think a zombie plague would be a better fate for the world than to endure these endless fluffy and pointless examples of cute gone viral.
tkoind2
Wow I am inspired now ZMB48, 48 zombies in maid-school-cosplay gear singing sickeningly cute songs and showing a little grey rotting leg. Should be a big hit. :)
Serrano
Incredible knees...
Jechan
wow... it's not only Japanese men that like under age girls...
Stephen Jez
I wish groups like this would just go away already.
nath
@Japan Girl
The ones trying to look Japanese with the silly V signs.
No, actually it's (from the left) 2,5 and 6.
And my vote...
YES (looks a bit like Sola Aoi), no, maybe, no, no, yes
gelendestrasse
I will never understand the "kawaii" style bands. Bring on the zombie bands!

watch out for the reflective floor, girls................

Indonesia is by far the most pro-Japan country in the world so it doesn't surprise me that AKB spinoffs would be successful there....But how does this kind of stuff mesh with Indonesian Islamic morals and stuff...anyone know?
DeDeMouse
@Upgrayedd
Indonesian's Muslim isn't as harsh as in other Arabs countries. Also they have many religions like Hindu, Buddhist, etc..
Source: i'm Indonesian.
YuriOtani
Ages from left to right 14, 14, 20, 21, 20 and 15. So guys be careful!
duke
wow so three of those girls are in their 20's, not so "sick" anymore is it smithinjapan? a far cry from "little girls" ... and little girls to most is 4, 5,6.. proceed to your next rant.
smithinjapan
shiofuki: "(looks like Sora Aoi, sort of)"
So you're looking at 14 year olds and seeing porn stars? Like I said, sick sick sick.
Upgrayedd: "Indonesia is by far the most pro-Japan country in the world so it doesn't surprise me that AKB spinoffs would be successful there"
This is said about any nation any time they praise Japan. Until the island dispute that Ishihara started people were saying the same thing about Taiwan. Now it's Indonesia?
Anyway, it's amusing to see that some oyaji fans of underage girls dressing like trollops have given so many thumbs down to people pointing out the facts.
Yuri: Thanks for giving the exact ages -- like I said in my first post, 'barely junior highschool' (at least three of them), and I even pointed out the one on the far left looks the youngest, so there you go, duke. As for all the guys saying how hot these little girls look: get help.

You missed the part where three girls, whom many on here were saying, "Yes, YES" and "looks like Sora Aoi" (which means they obviously watch porn and thought of porn when looking at these girls!), are not even 16!! So, yes, 'little girls'. I'm sorry if you consider 14 year olds open to sexualization and consider them full grown women (even though by Japanese law even a 19 year old is a child), but hey.
"proceed to your next rant."
Proceed to your next '...K48' band and start drooling despite knowing half or more are under age.
smithinjapan
duke: "wow so three of those girls are in their 20's, not so "sick" anymore is it smithinjapan?"
Yes, still quite sick, especially given that you previously had no idea of their ages at all, whereas I was spot on with three of them at least -- and that's three that are UNDER 16 but that some posters on here and many old men in society are drooling over. It's not okay, my friend -- it's sick.
"...a far cry from "little girls"
The three that JUST became adults, yes. The others, not at all.
"... and little girls to most is 4, 5,6.."
Kids who are four are just barely beyond being toddlers, while many who are six still can't tie shoes, etc. That does not mean sexualizing little girls JUST in their teens and junior highschool is okay.
"...proceed to your next rant."
I'm sorry if you consider standing up for the protection of children to be a 'rant', or that my disdain for putting kids BARELY in their teens in bikinis, lingerie, sexual poses, and all for a few bucks, makes you upset.
Jechan
@ duke 3 of them are in their 20s and you had no idea which ones. It's not a rant, it's common sense.
Yunita
So far, to my knowledge, they don't have original songs yet. All of their published songs are covers from AKB48 and they haven't released any albums either. They do have their own theatre shows with weekly shows. Here, i think they have quite a healthy fanbase too, high school / college boys and girls and they are also marketed for the teen market not ojisan. Unlike in Japan, JKT48 don't pose or perform in bikinis, i think Mr. Akimoto takes Indonesian cultures into consideration in marketing this group. I have to admit they ALL are cute, especially Nabilah, the youngest member. She'll be turning 13 this november.
