The trouble with tats is that they're permanent and unmovable. There're probably some outfits she can wear that show them off tastefully, but what she's wearing in this pic isn't one of them. It's similar to if the top of her knickers was showing over her skirt, or her bra strap was showing. It looks thrown-together, with no thought to the overall effect.

Either show them properly, or cover them up.

Had a sick armband put on in Thailand when I was young. Was kicked out of a few gyms in my time here too. Super black ink not dark blue....scared the Japanese to death. Ten years later my kid was being born and I wanted it removed. Its called a YAG laser and black ink takes about 5 sessions over a course of 8-10 months to take off. My point is Angelina can have these tattoos removed but it comes at a cost which she can afford and its very painful.... hurts worse coming off than on. The scabbing and bandages with showers sucks too. I can easily see this Supermom getting them zapped. She did 20/20 or Primetime live a few years ago.... seems very happy and mature compared to her Billy Bob drug days.

I think Ms. Jolie (and her publicity staff) knowingly wore this low cut (or did she just put it on incorrectly?) dress in order to get even more media attention during her Japan tour. This was all over the morning news shows and will probably be a hot topic on the Japanese websites for a few days. For example, she has been featured as the 'Picture of the Day' for the second time this week here on JapanToday website.

Not thrilled with the dress choice, she has looked better... and 35 is not old, clears throat..unless your like 18, then it might seem that way, but the tattoos are fine, I have one small tat of a butterfly on my ankle hovering over a rose, I see nothing wrong with them as long as it's done in a tasteful manor..I do not think she is the most beautiful woman but she is very pretty...

tattoos or not, Angelina is always a woman to me. I have loved her since Hackers, Girl Interrupted and her work for the United Nations. Truly an amazing woman.

The tatoo really lowers her "class" level to a tramp. It is ugly and irreversable. Why would anyone disrespect their body like that.

I have paid for my share of girls and if I see even a small tatoo on their ankle or anywhere, I wouldn't pay 5000 yen no matter how good she looks otherwise. It destroys everything sexual about a woman, like bad breath or unshaven legs or dirty teeth... I have absolutely no attraction to a woman with a tatoo. I knew a girl for 5 yrs in Okinawa, she left for the states for one year to study english when she came back she had a small tatoo on her breast, she totally went from innocent smart girl to tramp in my eyes. I never talked to her again and lost all feeling for her in an instant. Garbage.

I disagree....I love tattoos. I think if they are tasteful and have some meaning behind them, I find them attractive. I don't think your body should be covered in them, that's gross. ....but Angelina's, especially the one on her upper left back is sexy.

Dolphingirl, she adopted children from developing countries because Madonna (their secret heroine) did it. Sandra Bulock did it also. It makes for good press. Now when singers like Cheryl Crow adopt two blonde haired boys, people wonder if she is a racist. I give no credit for adopting children of color, over any other race. Well I have to agree with alphawolf on this one, though I might sound like a conservative. In fact, when I was in DisneyWorld, Florida two years ago, EVERYONE, mothers of 20, 30 even, had tattoos. I was the weird one for not having one. But the point I have to say, is that maybe the tattoo looks good when you are 20 and 30, but gain a little weight at 40 and that dragon looks like puff the magic dragon. Laughable. Then at 50 when you add on more weight and WRINKLES and then puff the magic dragon becomes, WTF is that!!!!! Stupid. Another issue is WHY do you feel the need to have a tattoo. My sister summed it up perfectly, people want attention, they want people to look at them. Sad really, to go down to this level. And maybe in two or three years tattoos will be out of fashion and then it is off to the laser treatment. Another problem I have with Jolie was that she was bisexual, or quite lesbian. Had to give it quite a chance, you see. I just don't think I could marry someone no matter how famous she was if she was that before. Now that is a chicken bone that sticks in your throat. Makes the tattoos look small.

She's hot !!! Her tattoos are hot !!! What's wrong adopting kids that are a different color than your skin color ? She's smart, beautiful, great actor, mysterious, exotic, sexy, independent,makes her own money, doesn't care what you think, strong minded kind of lady with 4-5 tattoos. She's great & does her own thing. I just hope when the kids are not cute anymore and become teens/20 yr, olds she can help them and be a good mother. I hope she is dedicated and love them for life. Angelina Jolie is downright gorgeous, but I'd rather see her without all those tattoos. IMO, the human body (especially hers) is beautiful without anything extra. I respect those, like the Maori, who do it for cultural reasons, but celebrities are definitely only doing it for narcissistic reasons.

I hate tatoos, they look ugly. Especially to get such a HUGE tatoo which Jolie has on her back, that will look really terrible as she ages. People are so stupid, so many get tatoos in the teens and 20s but most will regret it later in life. There is a reason God told the Israelites to not tatoo themselves. The barbaric tribes in asia and africa used tatoos, it is a sign of debasement.
