Jolie good time

Members of local dance group Hip Hop Joli Jolie strut their stuff at the 5th Recovery Gourmet Grand Prix held in Minami Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture, on Sunday. Some 5,000 people attended the food contest where 15 teams from areas in Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake set up stalls, serving up dishes made from local ingredients. Takoyaki made by a team from a temporary shopping center in Kashima Ward of Minami Soma City was voted the most popular item, taking the top prize for the second time. The contest is a means for affected areas to exchange information with each other and to work on new methods of co-operation, as well as conveying news and developments to the nation and abroad.
