My ex told me it was so bad in Okinawa, the chicken wasn’t even cooked completely, because they were trying to keep up with the orders

Start putting ovens in houses here and roast a chicken yourself. It's not difficult.

Yes, you are right, that’s what I do, I used to do a Turkey but it’s more of a hassle, now if I had an American-size oven then no problem, it’s difficult in Japan and a huge problem if you don’t have a separate freezer, so I just buy a whole chicken at Costco usually costs ¥1,500 and I season it the way I want and it comes out sooo much better. I don’t buy KFC or Costco’s rotisserie chicken, just buy the plain one and do it your way, you’ll be prouder and definitely much happier emotionally and financially.

I buy a 2 kg chicken from Gyomu and rotisserie it in my air fryer oven. Great taste and great value for us.

It's November 10th.
They have to call it KFC nowadays because there's not enough real chicken in the products, allegedly.
Though the farm in Hokkaido is a must-visit.

Turkey and chicken are completely different. If you can't do turkey, then what's the point of substituting chicken? Just because it's another bird and looks the same on the table? Fine it's your favourite meat, I guess.

We will make roast chicken, roast potatoes, brussel sprouts, and apple sauce. Chocolate steam pudding.

I am visiting UK and I miss Japanese food, I will be back in Japan Thursday as soon as I step of the plane I will miss the British cuisine.
At Christmas it will be Turkey and the trimmings, a sticky toffee pudding etc. with the neighbors.
I cannot get my head around Christmas day with a bucket full of Colonel Sanders
