BTW, a baby kangaroo is called a Joey and, it's a common gray kangaroo about one year old that should be in the Australian bush and not being annoyed by screams of "kowaiiiiiiii!" I've seen them for sale in pet shops in Tokyo. Just what a Japanese person would do with a pet kangaroo I don't know, but I doubt if it would like being locked up in a 2LDK apartment.
I saw a little kangaroo, or a wallaby, like this for sale in a pet store out here in BFE. No idea what somebody would do with something this other than stick in a cage and stare at it.
this picture is the best on JT since the beginning! I love kangaroos so much and I am so thankful to JT for posting this totally cute picture of a little kangaroo lost among curious people in the zoo. But I would like to see its cute face and its expression. Do kangaroos express stress with their tail like dogs? I think this kangaroo is confused and lost and it looks for its Mum.
It is so little and so helpless. Tears come to my eyes when I see this tiny animal so at a loss and so scared and sressed. oh, cute cute pretty kangaroo!
I think roos express stress by kicking the crap out of people staring at them.
This kangaroo is not able to do harm, look how lovely it is, Sarge, I am sure you want to hold it, caress and kiss it! I am sure you are under its spell, as me too.
This little itty bitty roo may not be scared at all - he/she may be just thinking about which human needs a good kicking ha ha ha!
Sarge, I do not think the humans around the kangaroo are evil, they would like just to play a tanoshii game with the kangaroo. But I worry the kangaroo could be stressed and does not like to play a game at the moment. If the sweet little kangaroo was dangerous, it would not be among the kids.
USARonin,
I love this sweet animal, indeed. It is so sad to lock kangaroos in cages and zoos. They should be free and enjoy the Oz golf courses :)
Sweet handsome me and the sweet lovely roo together?
would be nice, of course. You will make a cute picture together. Can you imagine if you hold the kangaroo in the zoo, the kids will be so overwhelmed - a foreigner with a kangaroo! They will be at a loss who is more interesting to watch.
ExPrinceska, your overly sweet comments are starting to give me a cavity, I need you back to complaining about how there are not enough pictures of cute men on JT.
Thanx for your comments people..
Actually the zoo was a real nice place. The small kangaroo was just 80 days old, and happened to jump out of his mom's pouch real early. So being kept safe by a human-Papa!! He is growing a bit slow, but adored by teveryone.
That thing was crowded by puzzled people and kids from all around, but he's probably used to it by now. He was just hopping happily around, enjoying himself..really loved it so much!!
I need you back to complaining about how there are not enough pictures of cute men on JT.
Plenty of cute men around me, I cannot complain, sorry. JT recently publishes a lot of pictures too - Kitajima for example. I would like to see more judokas but they do not medal so I understand. One complain - I do not need pictures of Phelps - not cute :) Prefer the French swimmer who won 100 m crawl.

As HonestDictator said, lets do this picture again with a 6 1/2 foot Western Red Adult Kangaroo, now THAT would be funny.

Do they have petting zoos in japan?
smithinjapan
The poor little thing must be frozen in fear.

My whining detector just exploded and reading the posts here I know the reason.
Sarge
Smith - Either that, or it's wondering why nobody's petting it.
"Tama Zoo"
That is a great zoo. And a great place to have a picnic! Just don't let the bears steal your picnic basket!

Princess - I wouldn't mind holding it and giving it a pat on the head as long as it doesn't kick me or pee on me, but I sure ain't gonna kiss it!

JT should have published a picture of you hugging the sweet lovely kangaroo.

Sweet handsome me and the sweet lovely roo together? Too much sweetness, even for you, Princess!
