The fashion police should put the designer away for life.
sf2k
works better as a static cling commercial
grafton
Would you not also look horribly depressed if your job required you to wear what these poor girls are wearing?
DeepSpace
I take the theme for fall is depression ?

Ugly, ugly stuff.
IanMcGhee
a case of taking fashion as 'only' art
Cherryblossomgirl
the first black one is nice .
combinibento
Many of these gals look as if they got lost in grandma's futon closet.

LOL @ cleo! Well said! I totally agree. And it does look like it is faux fur. Still hideous though, since none of the outfits make sense. Except possibly the first one. I think that is the only one that could possibly pass for normal clothing that one could dare to wear in public other than on a runway.
Patricia Yarrow
Quite like the first, all-black look. Bare feet is refreshing from completely stupid "shoes".
norinrad21
Yes Yes and Yes, all approved
mokgohan
"Derelicte!" These models can now put professional pouter on their resumes.
HonestDictator
The only fashion piece I'm anywhere close to liking is the 2nd dress.
The models are supposed to be models and wear the fashion with confidence and make the clothes look good and vice versa... unfortunately neither are complimenting the other.
Junnama
Clearly, the "latest look" is heavily layered in mis-matched colors with no shoes or socks...
spankmaster5000
fashion art art fashion peta? fur... how bout fake fur. It's 2010
TokyoXtreme
Lookin good to me, playas.
TokyoGas
Wow.
Many bad hair pics.
Disillusioned
This has to be art because it sure as heck is not fashion!

Sorry but I am not even noticing the clothes. I am completely tranfixed by the facial expressions. Wouldnt a subtle smile be the most neutral look. Some of those expressions are a little worrying. As for the clothes I like the first two in the top row. Especially the first. They both have a subtle sense of elegance. Sometimes less is more.
XXXXX
Great, the homeless look is back! (Kawaiso look, lol)
cadmium
I'm sorry but they just don't look attractive to me. Such a shame as Japan is overflowing with beautiful women.
gogogo
Faux fur, but I'm sure Peta is having a field day anyway.

This look is unoriginal & tired. Kansai Yamamoto & Rei Kawakubo started this trend back in the 70's... The difference, they are both extremely skilled craftsmen, & tailors. Just for contrast, these current designers should show one or two pieces that display some fundamental tailoring ability, coupled with these more abstract pieces... Perhaps then they will be viewed with more credibility!
dolphingirl
cleo: Nice observation! Funnily enough, I had a dream (or should I say nightmare) last night of people wearing fur. AHHH!
I think the clothes weigh more than the models do!
tkoind2
maybe we can rename this collection the "Kawai-so Collection" since it makes you look fasionably clueless, homeless and in a bad mood. Maybe that is the mission here.
"Tired of trying to keep up your glamorous look? Well try this year's Kawai-so Collection and go for getting the sympathy attention instead. People will feel sorry for you, buy you warm drinks or soup and bring you inside to get warm. No long make up process required."
GW
this is what happens when the scraps on the floor are recycled LOL!!
tkoind2
Creepy waifish designs from the unispired for the hopelessly trendy.
paulinusa
Yes, Yes, big hair and little toes.
tkoind2
"You are supposed to look at the clothes, not the girls wearing them.'
This would be possible only if the clothes were more interesting than the girls. I am sorry to say that the recycled trends of the past offered up as the "latest fashion" hardly qualify as more interesting than the models.
tkoind2
Great....... Big hair is back......
paulinusa
I'd like to kiss them (toes).
cleo
I think this must be an anti-fur fashion show. The message is obviously, 'Don't wear fur, it makes you look demented and/or homeless'.
I hope those bits of plush they're wearing are fake. Not to mention the headless bunnies the girls have shoved their hands into.
I too think the shoes are the best part of this fashion show.
Smythe
Agree that the clothing is really the pits & doubt if any woman would feel properly dressed in any of them. Mind you in bare feet is their bit of NUDE I take it.
If the designers, of these outfits are AGAINST a woman smiling then really the poor women look like they are in a time of stress for the clothing alone helps said stress period as well.
Seems like fuzzy-wuzzy hair fashions are in again----ghastly!!!!!!

Models do not all look dismal. It is as each designer requests... The more confident/ successful the designer, the more personality allotted/ shown in the models. In this present combination, the clothes are dismal, and so are their faces... It must be for exhibition only, as this show does not inspire sales...
Gurukun
LOL! Good point! I'm cold, but I'm not. Hilarious
brotokyo
Wow! I thought this was a hair show until I got to the bottom row.
ppm1407
I think with all these fur debate around, no one is going to risk to put up the real fur for the show.
AzabuSamurai
Are the shawls real or faux animal fur?
smartacus
Actually, models I know have told me that they are told not to smile in fashion shows. The idea is not to draw attention to themselves. In fact, in the very best fashion shows, members of the audience shouldn't even notice the models; they are merely "coat hangers." You are supposed to look at the clothes, not the girls wearing them.
Branded
That bottom left outfit is wrong- just plain Wrong ! The colors, the material combinations, a sleeveless shirt-vest with those GLOVES ??? all wrong, wrong, wrong !
ppm1407
not having shoes make them more attractive indeed!!!
paulinusa
Not sure about the clothing, but I like the fashionable shoes they're wearing.
billyken
A smile would have been nice but I love these! Can't see anyone actually wearing these in public but I'm sure this fashion show is just for the art of it.
ppm1407
bottom left one looks fainting!
ppm1407
the combination of angry looking girls and ugly looking clothes is mind blowing. such a genius designer. No wonder they ask French to design something for them. good comment gurukun!
nath
I so hunger for the days of excellent tailoring. Coco Chanel could tailor as well as design elegant clothes. Her clothes fit the feminine frame. These clothes are self-indulgent crap. If you are a upstart designer, and want to be unique, do the work. Learn tailoring. This is wearable abstract "art", not ready-to-wear.
some14some
Lates look or Greatest look, not for me !
Gurukun
Is smiling against the law in the modeling community? Or are they pissed that they have to wear those fashions?
combinibento
Models look like very boring people to be around.
