Leo's back

American actor Leonardo DiCaprio appears at a media event at Tokyo Midtown on Thursday to promote his latest film, "Shutter Island," directed by Martin Scorsese. Due to the popularity of the 35-year-old star, the event was streamed live on the Internet, which was a first. DiCaprio, making his 6th visit to Japan, heaped praise on Scorsese and said he will be remembered 1,000 years from now as a master when historians look back at the art form of cinema. He also urged people to go and see "Shutter Island" without trying to find out anything about it beforehand. DiCaprio will head to Kyoto for a short holiday over the weekend, but he will be back in a few months to promote his thriller "Inception," with Ken Watanabe. "Shutter Island" opens in Japan on April 9.

i didn't like Titanic because he glamorized smoking so i don't want to promote his films to my kids. Other than that, I am jelous of him for his looks and money.

Don't judge Leo by Titanic which was probably one of his worst movies. A great actor I'm glad to see is still alive despite driving one of those Prius death-traps. :)

I just saw this face on some big flag type banner at a gas station today. I had to a double take to make sure it was him. Must be getting paid a heap of cash for a simple photo.

Looking forward to shutter island, though. Trailers look good.

DiCaprio is a great actor. Shutter Island is an awful movie - perhaps Scorcese's worst. The trailer is deceptive in that it makes you think that this may be a paranormal horror/shocker but it is not. Chicago Tribune critic summed it up when he said: "Well acted junk."
