I have these fish also, but they do NOT live long if put in a tank with more than one or two of their own kind....where's the animal rights people on this one? ;)

Poor fish.... those things will be dead in no time -- way too many in the same place, same time.

clearly the maker of this exhibition lacks common sense or doesnt care about fish

It is just to look nice for the people there. Same as zoos and pet shops in Japan. Complete disregard for animal welfare on these shores.

Living creatures as art? That is disgusting. Japan and animal welfare FFS...

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

yeah, bad taste indeed. poor fish. =(

That's right.

@BlueWitch; just want to say that I have been reading a lot of the things you post on here and I really agree with everything you say. Don't stop!

First they get bred into ridiculously improbable shapes that make them waddle rather than swim, then they get stuffed into an overcrowded bubble that doesn't appear to have any kind of filtration system. All for the sake of 'art'.

Does 'art' have no heart?

At least "humans and fish can co-exist"

Now remind me, who said that?

@TimeiClic

Thank You honey, nice to know there are posters that do not always thumb me down...(笑)

I completely agree with you there, my friend.... I wonder what are they thinking?! Art is one thing, animal abuse is another, but then again....anything in the name of earning some YEN....right? YUCK~

Who are we to take these precious creatures from the sea and "jail" them in such environment? Hunting for feeding is understandable, Keeping them alive and tormented like this is disgusting.

Went through the goldfish thing when the daughter was young. Poor little guys (fish, not children) can't keep an idea in their heads for longer than three seconds. Their conversations go like this:

A: Hey, haven't I seen you before? B: Yeah, you look familiar, too. A: Hey ... haven't I seen you before?

Many Japanese need to learn about cruelty, many clearly dont comprehend it.

This is the equivalent of sticking 30 JT posters in a room with no toilet, these poor fish are swimming in their own wastes & in massive overcrowding.

The ""artis""t clearly is a clueless uncaring SOB.

Just a reflection of 'Danchi' life in Japan - the people in the city live like this too...

I'm sure there are more than a few people at the exhibition thinking...."mmmm...oishii so....."

Looks nice

you all go save the fish....................i'll save the girl !!

It's called empathy, most Japanese don't have it, for animals OR for each other.

Doesn't look much different than a regular aquarium. http://h-i-d.co.jp/art/

Looks like a great pizza

The girl on the right is so pretty.

we are just like the fish in that bowl but our bowl is just a little bigger and we have things to keep us from looking at the truth. So we dont realize we live in a bowl.

There must be a filtration, oxygen supply system somewhere for these fresh water gold fish in this spherical water tank ,otherwise they will all die just too soon.
