That shop shouldn't even be open.

That shop shouldn't even be open.

That was my first thought, but, come on, I'm just being silly.

This is why they won’t get a firm control over the virus, give them another two months before they realize this.

Why are customers STILL be allowed to lunch-in or sit inside ?! They should have suspended sit-in/lunch-in operations! Customers should ONLY be allowed to order takeaways! Buy your food and go home directly!

Why are those customers inside NOT wearing masks ?! And they are sitting ever so close to one another ?!

If Japan wants to fight and defeat the virus transmissions locally, they really need to adhere to strict social distancing rules ....

If you live with the other person, it isn't like you don't share the infection, right?

The shop should be order-ahead, pay in advance and pick up outside only. No touching, except the bag to get the order.

Lockdown lite is failing. Most places closed or only take away in other countries.

Japan need to pay attention to the rest of the worlds practices

So much for "sutay ato homu"

@Tom

I think I got the same deal as you. Box of 50, nice and soft fit around the ears and the right size for people with bigger faces and heads.

Oh and ordered a day after the AbeNOmasks announcement and delivered to my door three days ago.

Ah, the Corona police on patrol?

No. Just a question. No need for look over your shoulder paranoia. The questions merely points out that this is not any definition of social distancing required elsewhere. Just curious. Perhaps this is the unique Japanese version.

They don’t eat the food with masks on do they?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I can see one person wearing a mask inside through that reflective window. I want to know how they are eating.

I assume couples standing in line together are couples, thus both sharing the same germ space.

Masks? Reckless...Amazon has great deals on them. Under 40 yen per mask. Out of China, but they are really well made. I got a box of fifty in under a week. And not dirty nor vracker size like Abe's masks...of which I still did not get.

Why, if they are social distancing, are they standing in pairs? Are they all partners living in the same house?

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

@tamanegi: They are a lite blue and fit really well. If you have beard stubble though they start to fray.

Oh dear.

"They don’t eat the food with masks on do they?"

They eat the masks first, as starters; then the food.

That's what we do over here in London.

@peeping: Nice one. I remember edible things.

When was this photo taken? This can't be the most recent picture, can it ? Looks like it was taken ONE MONTH ago! Customers were not wearing masks and sitting close to each other.... Ridiculous!

That is a dim sum place in yurakucho~
