Model and actress Meisa Kuroki, 22, shows off a pair of Uniqlo’s autumn lineup of new jeans-leggings, dubbed "Legi-pan" (short for "leggings-pants"), at Spiral Hall in Omotesando on Wednesday. Aimed at working women in their 20s and 30s, the leggings are already on sale at Uniqlo stores throughout the country. Cost: 2,990 yen.

What is Meisa Kuroki doing in this add, she is way to beautiful for Uniqlo. She should be in a much better advertisement.

I get hot just looking at winter clothes this time of year. I can't wait for October to come, though, when all the cuties will start dressing up again.

She's hot, but it's still much too hot to wear that.

Now that's hot! And it's a good-sized picture too. Woo-hoo!

Feelin' hot hot hot! I get warm just looking at Meisa.

Wow! Finally a model who actually knows how to model. Very nice Meisa!

She's cute, but in this photo she looks like she's 12.

She's easily the frontrunner for Best Legi-Panist 2010.

God, she is absolutely stunningly undeniably amazingly gorgeous!

You know what that means, that means its business time, yeeah

"this is one of the worst pictures of her I have ever seen."

Break it down Patrick ! Start with the shiny black shoes against a dark set of leggings... a lack of clear contrast resulting in a muddled look. The problem continues as the leggings blend into a charcoal cloth jacket... again- too many darks ! The checkered shirt is fine, but then again they've chosen a long-haired look that pretty much botches the whole shot ! You could actually save this photo by simply getting rid of the jacket like the mannequin behind her! Sorry folks- years as a studio photographer... still irks me to see such amateur results.

Blame the photographer. But I'm thinking they're trying to bring out the highlights of the clothing and not the model... both the model and the clothing are supposed to compliment each other.

I think it is a nice natural photo of Kuroki. Some of you may be used to seeing her on glossy magazine covers. I think this is probably how she really looks.

"I'm thinking they're trying to bring out the highlights of the clothing"

Obviously ! Which is what makes it all the more disappointing. Dark blue leggings divided by shiny black shoes and a charcoal jacket is just plain wrong ! Colors-textures-patterns.... wrong wrong wrong !

I'm not the young man i used to be anymore

Shje's lovely, but this is one of the worst pictures of her I have ever seen.

Agreed! SAhe looks like a zombie in Michael Jackson's version of thriller.

So that's what those leggings are supposed to look like, I keep seeing them on fat girls with short legs and they don't look good.

Wow the fashion police are out today Branded!!!

Unfortunately millions of consumers and designers disagree with you because this in in fact one of the looks of the season and will be wore by many. Even if the photography has bad composition, it is press event not a studio shoot and as agreed upon by many here it looks great. So, it looks like for UNIQLO it's mission accomplished.

Oh yeh- oh yeh... well, just how many ? Just exactly how many millions have already been sold ? I somehow doubt you have a response- the product has just gone on sale. And FYI- I have no problem with the "legi-pan" itself... it's the color and fabric combinations on display here that are less than desirable- bordering on "oh my- dressing in the dark again sweety" !

LOL, re-read my comment, as i mention, this picture shows one of the "looks of the season", not just items of the season, looks being the total combination you are saying is "wrong wrong wrong".

The millions I am referring to are the millions of women in Japan, US, Australia, N.Z. all over Europe that are adopting this "look", not just from Uniqlo but the many other brands that are making "legi-pan" and combining it with "Shiny Black shoes" and the likes.

So yes, once again, success Uniqlo for offering a cheap solution to a 'in style' 'look' this season!

But im sure if you told them you dont approve, all designers would pull their mannequins out of windows.......OMG are you Anna Wintour?

Settle down, how about you just dont buy yourself a pair.....or do but wear them with a smart fluorescent heel to 'contrast'.

Do rich, famous people actually wear Uniqlo?

i dont like the boots. cons would go really nice with that outfit.

I still haven't seen this girl do a media-promo-event yet where she doesn't look doped up to her eyeballs. Sorry, I'm sure she's a lovely girl and all, but she just looks constantly out of it.

For those of you truly interested in some good color schemes, not to mention some beautiful women... check out the headline story on "jeggings" (part jeans part leggings) over at yahoo today. NICE !
