Stimulus to do what!? This was the failed policies from the 90s and 2000s. Build more roads, train tracks, bridges? Control the Central Bank!? Is that really the answer while Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp are all getting their clocks cleaned? What about small business initiatives to bring back some of the innovation we saw from Japan after the war? What about pension reform? What about exciting the younger generation with hope instead of how they all see their lives now with a future of being overworked, underpaid salary workers? How about a real talk about Japan's energy needs?

I doubt if the average voter listened to his pledges. They just wanted someone new in there. Figured he'd do this. "I won," he reasons, "so everyone should do what I said leading up to the election." Actually, the only thing he really wanted was to "return to power." And he got that ...

I can hear his stomach rumbling from here. So what are the bets on how long he lasts, and what do we win if correct? I've put it at 11 months, someone else on another thread said less than a year.
