I estimate that half of the helmets and balls he signed in that pic will end up on eBay by the end of the day.
Growing up in LA, you can always spot a hick from out of town when they harass a celebrity for an autograph. Lame.

cant get used to seeing him in red

Win the deciding game of the WS for the yanks and find yourself in Angels uniform. He does look odd in red.

I hope his knees hold up for the year. I can't help but think his career is just about over...

there are hundreds of matsui signed items on ebay, quite a money maker for a particular type of annoying persistent no gooders.

Uh, how much can Matsui autographs be worth if "there are hundreds of matsui signed items on ebay"?????

Hey JT, is this the best picture you can get for a Monday morning? First off, Matsui has not played in Japan for several years. Second, no one really cares about spring training anyway. Third, there had to be hundreds of events here in Japan over the weekend, like the St. Paddy's Day parade, that are more noteworthy that this over-the-hill guy.

Wow! Really? Apparently you have never attended it. Thousands of "spring break-ers" would beg to differ.
So if these folks are not from Tempe, are you saying they are hicks from LA? I'm so confuuused!!! LOL. Just teasing. Couldn't resist. I do know what you were trying to say.
Matsui definitely does look strange in red. And yeah, he probably is getting close to the end of his career...but I reckon he has got a couple of good seasons left in him yet!
