McDonald's Japan earned a Guinness World Records mention this week for the biggest-selling calendar. Their Pokemon Calendar 2010 has sold almost 1.5 million copies since its release, making it the world's best-selling calendar according to Guinness World Records. On Nov 5, the record was certified by Guinness, which confirmed that the company sold 1,476,442 copies. The wall hanging calendars sell for 300 yen at every McDonald's store in Japan and feature original illustrations from the popular video game and anime series. There is also a set of 182 Pokemon stickers for marking important days and the calendar features a newly added space for writing notes. The 2011 calendar goes on sale at McDonald's stores nationwide from Dec 5.© Japan Today
