Actress Saki Aibu, 24, front 3rd from left, who is this year's Miss Mister Donut, 2004 Miss Tokyo University and "talent" Ayako Hatta (on Aibu's left) and an assortment of campus pageant winners and local beauty queens attend a presentation of the new spring additions to Mister Donut's menu at the Prince Hotel in Shinagawa on Monday. "It's really amazing seeing all these people in the same place," Aibu gushed. For the 40th anniversary of Mister Donut in Japan, the company will release several new products from Wednesday.

None of them as they are not fat. I would assume "Miss Donut Japan" is a big fat round woman that rolls down the street instead of walking.

fad-

Yeah, but the picture of the day could be something interesting, inspiring, beautiful, but it is almost always some lame PR event with bored models standing around pretending to be interested. It&s a free commercial for Mr. Donuts.

TRG, It's not supposed to be "Important News". It's just the "Picture of the Day". For "Important News", check out the National, International, and Crime sections. The rest of the sections here are just things going on in the country.

Japanese hair colour should be officially brown. Hard to find black haired Japanese nowadays.

This is important news.

Miss Mr. Donut....I smell a simpsons episode from this :-)

They missed the boat, they could have made her Mrs. Donut and held a fake wedding ceremony.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I'll take a dozen.

I love Saki-chan! Have always liked her in dramas. Though, her dress here looks like she just took down the living room curtains.

It's everywhere. People get tired with their looks and try to change them. The hair is the easiest change AND it's not permanent so if the choice was poor it will be gone in six months or so.

And I like "checkerboard girl" on the right side of the photo. The look on her face says, "That does it! After this I'm firing my agent for booking me on this lame promotion!"

0 ( +0 / -0 )

WHY all the lame brown hair? Isn't this trend going to ever end? They have such lovely and admirable black hair! Crazy photo and I agree with everyone's comments. "Checkerboard" indeed.

Mmmmm!!! Pus... I mean, Donuts!!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I got a point card now, not to buy stuff with but to keep track of how much money I have been spending in that joint..

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Because she still could not finish it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

why miss todai 2004? why not miss todai 2009? :D

0 ( +0 / -0 )

All trollop! These girls are not happy unless they have something in their gobs.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The second from the right in jeans, I can&t read the last character on her sash b/c of a fold, but I think it says &miss girl blogger&. An award for miss girl blogger.

Knew there was more than one reason why I enjoy living here

0 ( +0 / -0 )

They would taste great I think, are they cream filled?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

They call them donuts, and they call this a donut publicity event, but really I think it&s just an excuse to get the girls out in public holding their sugary holes in their hands.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

the are cute but they all have the same hair color.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Its all so ridiculous. Ok the one in the left with the apron. Thats more my type.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

They look great! I'll take them all!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I must say I am impressed by Miss Dunkin Todai too. (Although indeed, one arm seems to be missing!)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This photo represents everything that is wrong with modern Japan.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

icould offer them about 9 donuts, with no hands even!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is an outrage. "Miss Mister Donut" and not one tranny or cross dresser?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I would sue my stylist if I were the girl in the front, 3rd from the right.

Bimbos

Best Doughnut-hole award? Except the actress in the long dress. She wins "Best Old-fashionest".

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Who's the doughnutiest?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Miss/Mister Donut?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Thanks JT but can't digest (sorry) !

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Clearly they don't teach fashion at Todai.....also where is her right arm? Did they photoshop it out???

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If their donuts are so good, why do they that other...stuff? Quite a menu.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is the bowlegged one wearing a towel? The cute one in the 2nd row, with the pink donut and red hair, should be in the front... She's wearing pink kimono, tabi and slippers.

Who was the judge at the competion for Miss Mister Donut. I bet it was Frubert T. Bunn , an acknowledged expert in matters to do with pastries and baking.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I had t come back and check out Miss Todai's legs once again. Hot and smart. A dangerous combination.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Just another day in Tokyo.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

is the checkerboard girl high?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

My wife is better looking tahn any of these and has a better dress sense.

She was also in a stupid girl band years ago, but if i mention it she will kill me.

Mr Donuts products are far too sugary for me, but me niece loves them. Maybe for kids and sweet tooth types, i dunno.

Miss Todai... OMG!!! I am in love!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh My God! I freakin' love Japan!!!!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Miss Mister Donut?? So they are all new halfus, or what?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Notice the doughnuts. Not one bite.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Bad picture. In real life, as these gals would be eating a donut with one hand, while text messaging on their mobile with the other.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

why is there no foreigner in the group?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is about the right level for young Japanese women... holding a donut. Let's hope they don't attempt anything more difficult...

Awful, just awful.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Not to be a total dweeb here but according to their website, it's Mister Donut. Not Mister DonutS.

motherillegal, funny. True, but funny.

MISS-MISTER donuts Is it a Joke?

Probably she went to school in Saitama.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Sounds more like an advert for ladyboy or newhalf food...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The one third from the right looks like she's wearing an altered pillow case.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Wow, they're all so cute!

MISS-MISTER donuts Is it a Joke?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Why aren't any of them cute?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If these girls are really eating donuts everyday, they must be purging them immediately afterwards. Can you imagine how fat Miss Krispy Kreme would look in the US?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Classy stuff from Japan as usual...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"Miss Mister Donuts."

I think the marketing guys could only pull that one off in Japan. :-)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

this is like pro athletes advertising big Macs. Think they would look like this if they ate that rubbish every day? Never see adverts like this for fruit and veg do you?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Lovely, lovely, lovely

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yep,...........Miss Normal Voice.......Miss Common Sense.......

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is there anything this country doesn't have a 'miss whatever' for?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Cute.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

“It’s really amazing seeing all these people in the same place,”

that's what I say every time I'm at a scramble crosswalk in Tokyo.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Why is she covering up such nice legs with a potato sack?
