Matsuyama's installation uses a strong contrast of black and white, which he learned from dazzle camouflage used mainly in World War I.

Exactly. And in any case, it's not a very original concept. The model's foot placement is pretty clever, and the visitor's coincidentally striped shirt (at least I hope to god she didn't intentionally dress in it just for that purpose) is a nice touch, but again, I'll stick to the books where you have to find the animals in the background patterns -- like the one with the zebras.
