Oh FGS, I personally find this humiliating. I remember once in Yokohama, in the middle of nowhere special, a woman set up stall with her monkey. I was hoping the monkey might make the woman do some tricks but alas.

Jeez, even the monkey is this photo looks bored.

The monkey is now playing a story.

I definitely prefer to see the monkeys running around free as we did in Arashiyama ! You just have to be careful to hold tightly onto your bag of "monkey treats" or they'll grab the whole bag ! But that's also because I don't like either zoos or circuses (unless the latter involve ONLY human beings...) and even less animal "safaris"...

You can tell alot about a society just by how they treat their animals.

Another animal cruelty story. Animals are NOT for human entertainment...

Barbaric! I would love to tie that guy to a string and yank him around for a few days. This is not funny or entertainment. It is just sad and cruel behavior.

It's nauseating to watch these animals flinch in fear and see how broken their spirits are.

The man and the monkey live together as a family and are close friends otherwise the monkey wouldn't play this stage. The monkey is playing sad because of the script!

tinawatanabe - not true. The handlers beat the monkeys regularly and feed them old bananas while they are stuck in cages. The monkey is playing sad to avoid another beating.

Poor monkey.
