Performers parade down a main street near Morioka station in Iwate Prefecture on Sunday as part of the 36th Morioka Sansa Odori. People from coastal areas affected by the tsunami of March, 2011, were among the 35,000 people who took part in the parade over four nights. Video and details can be seen at the festival website.

yes Sansa is indeed a lot of fun. Don't just come see it, you must participate in it. They have a half hour training session open to anyone right before the festival begins so you memorize the standard moves, and you will be thrown into the procession.
