Braving heavy rain, a mother carrying her child joins other women protesters during an anti-war rally in front of the Diet building in Tokyo on Thursday. The signs read: "We will not let anyone's children get killed."

Except in the case of foreigners tasked with protecting Japan, Japanese citizens abroad, or Japanese business interests.

Ive said it before and ill say it again, if there is a god he must be a man as a woman with her natural parenting instincts would not let the world get it such a mess.
Good for you ladies, thanks and keep up the good work!!!

But if we did want our children to get killed, we'll do it ourselves...by doing things like leaving windows open, letting kids play near water unsupervised, backing without looking, and beating them to death shortly after they are born.

To JT, this is a powerful message in and of itself....leave the link available for longer than usual please, to allow people to post it to social media.

I understand these protesters, but reality says otherwise. China's actions and NK's actions mean that the Japanese SDF may one day have to go to war to protect itself and their way of life. Can't just believe the US will do all the fighting for Japan while the Japanese military sits back and drinks a cold one. Believe it or not the US really does want peace, but we also know that there are groups and governments that will not allow peace to go on regardless.
I think the protesters need to understand the security bill should be passed in some way, but with a lot of tweaks.

'Believe it or not the US really does want peace, but we also know that there are groups and governments that will not allow peace to go on regardless.'
Yeah, the US has only fought totally necessary wars. I can understand why you prefaced your sentence with 'believe it or not'. That's a pretty tough sell.
I'm not bashing America here. My own country of the UK has plenty of blood on its lapdog paws.
Peace Out
More power to them!

Why do they expect others to protect Japan and they don't want to care for others. Protection is a shared responsibility. They should understand that in order to peace, war is sometimes necessary.

Anyones? What about American mother's children?

Voting those guys out of office is the only way.

The irony is, by refusing to let their people defend it protect its allies, Japan will sit idly by while see so many die around them. Japan pacificts also seem to be the most selfish.

Japanese language message us Dare no kodomo o kotosase hsi There is no word to indicate only Japanese they meant. I believe American mothers are anyone, too.

The protesters are being a bit overblown...Japan is not seeking to go to war with anyone but rather to have the ability to defend itself against modern enemies. The logic of the protesters is akin to insisting that Japanese troops all line up in formation to fight, despite that tactic not being viable anymore. The sad thing is, in an overly emotional world, you don't have to be right, you just have to find a message that seem very powerful and repeat it over and over.
