From left: Softbank Corp President Masayoshi Son, actress Aya Ueto and actor Shota Matsuda hold some of Softbank Mobile's seven new smartphone models on Thursday. The seven, which use Google's latest Android operating system, include the Galapagos 003SH that enables users to view 3D images without the use of special glasses.

Aya Ueto alone is good enough for the job, why three? It is called work-sharing !

Is Son a common Japanese name? Or is he Korean descent?

I like Aya's jacket, not sure about the whole collabaration of the outfit, but she will make it work some how I guess I think Shota is pretty,,,,pretty ..he has nice jaw bone, but his white hands show he needs to go outside more

Feeding the Japanese addiction....this whole thing takes food right out of kids' mouths. Has anyone truly stopped and looked at this in general? Not only do people drop 10,20% of their monthly salary on this culture need, but the govt and culture keeps eating it up..... does anyone actually notice softbank drains bank accounts and has the culture, these people, by the you know what....they must run an hour of commercial airtime with a white dog and this chick a day out of 24. I spend a lot of time overseas and noticed this society sickness. This chick gets old too.....

actress Aya Ueto

That's queen Aya Ueto to you. And what a nice animal product she is wearing on her head. How cute. 10 out of 10 for a lovely, lovely lady.

@my2sense So what would you propose? Taking away the right of people to spend THEIR money anyway that THEY see fit?

Aya take that rat off your head. You look silly!

It looks like Shota rubbed the smartphone on Aya's forearm and Aya reacted in glee.

Best androidists?

Did Ueto-san have to wear this season's "must have" look -- short skirt, high boots and a silly fur hat? Go to Shibuya any day and there are dozens of gals all wearing versions of it. Can't celebs here even have some individual style?

that enables users to view 3D images without the use of special glasses.

Alternatively - and I know this is a big stretch - the Japanese people could simply look up from their phones now and then and actually view 3D images without the use of special glasses or even a phone.

combinibento -- agree with my2sense. Your comment is awesome. Maybe the best I've read here all year. Obviously, though, Softbank, NTT, and KDDI are hoping your concept neve catches on. They want to keep everyone addicted to that little screen.

The 3-D stuff only works if both your eyes do. People blind in one eye will not notice it, and totally blind people will not care. Who needs 3=d on a phone. Give me a break.

mrskit, he's of Korean descent. all my friends who changed to Softbank lured by their "cheap" offers learned soon that actually they are paying more, due to the fine print clauses and extra fees. In my opinion, Son will follow into Horie's steps

One reason I switched to AU, where I now find the same find print and extra fees. They are all crooks, the phone companies.

Nessie, true, happened to me when I changed my AU phone as well. When I asked what's with the new system, all the small stuff added to a low basic fee, such as it becomes not so low, they said it's the new trend started by other companies (read Softbank) and they have to keep up with it (read have a cunning low basic fee for advertisement)

You're absolutely right! I don't know why have I spent my hard earned money to saw Avatar?

Yes, she is gorgeous, although about as "white rice" as a lady could be. Not a grain of genmai in her.
