I have to say, I don't get the 80's revivalist thing going on in fashion right now. I grew up in the 80's and it was a bad time for fashion imho. The girl with the blue is gorgeous. Her outfit is not.

Fashion is for morons and the overly self conscious. The same typed who complain about having a lack of money buy clothing at 10X it's value because of a brand label, madness.

I think they managed to get all the people who wear sunglasses in Japan onto this runway.
And surely the lady in the middle could clean up the spilt paint off her dress before Autumn.

You think the 80's were bad, Tamarama. You were lucky you didn't experience the 70's!

Hope they are real 'live' models and not mannequins !

That is just horrible.. the girls look like zombies.. and look at those shoes that only street hookers wear...

It doesn't bode well for the clothes, when focus goes to the shoes.

reminds me of the song , " I think I am Turning Japanese" , I really Think so!!

Tamarama - how can you tell any of them are gorgeous, when you can't even see their faces due to the sunglasses and their bodies look exactly the same?

Catwalk models always look so miserable... and as for the clothing, this collection looks really bland. You see women in Tokyo streets and shops dressed more better than this in their every day clothing.

Edit... I meant just better... not "more better" damned lack of post editor! >.<

at least it's not the shoulder spikes from the 80's

The one furthest to the front looks like Kim Jong Il.

We are the goon squad and we're coming to town..... beep beep !

These dresses look very... protective. Lots of black which is the psychological "protective layer", and whats more: sunglasses, which I perceive as tools used by insecure people to hide from the public.
Perhaps this is a negative opinion of mine, but with my sociological knowledge I would say this form of fashion pretty much resembles the current political situation in the area. The military turmoil and the uncertainty about diplomatic relations (especially the insane politics of North Korea) creates an unwanted tension in the life of many people.

these dresses make me think of the rorschach test

these gyirls need to eat more lice! especially one at center.

Nice hats and I like the shoes. The summer sun in Tokyo is very strong, so I wish more sunglasses were worn.

I like that. Cocky look. Something between Miro and Mondrian. Messy display of cool stuff. I love the vintage classic sunglasses. And nice gals of course!

I didn't think the 80's fashion was THAT bad, except the Heavy Metal or Hesher look it was ok, well the Bobby Brown was looney and the...ok, it stunk, but at least the 80's produced some of the best and most memorable music since the first British invasion in the 60's. By the way, I still have my color changing shirt and it works!
