I would bet it's been a lot more recent than that. As a high-standing politician, and a wealthy woman in Japan, I'd be surprised if it's been more than a year.

My Partner (28) has two kimonos and wears hers causal kimono on weekends nights, and her formal kimono to work when it is required and formal events. Rio games seem to me to have no real Olympic spirit. With drug cheating nation allow to take part and over 50 australian competitors arrested and charge with a criminal offence of fare evasion which will have follow on problems when travelling international. Every host City has allow the practice of exchanging of accreditation for events but not the Rio games. Yes it is against the law but every national has been doing so at this games but only a certain nation who spoke out about drug cheats and brought bad PR to the Rio games were targeted. I know Tokyo will do a 100% better games then Rio,s poor effort. I just hope At Tokyo Game of the Japanese custom of having the correct ticket and ID is not overdone.

The Tokyo Olympics will blow minds imo.

1964 Tokyo Olympic was very boring and nothing spectacular. Hopefully 2020 Olympic will be full of excitement, fun, friendly, safe and welcoming.

Japan will not copy Brazil heavy fines for Aussie or any nations Athletes for watching Basketball match without correct accreditation. As the host, Japan will not rob guests legally or illegally. Olympic should not be spoiled with heavy handed attitude.

Japan is not Brazil.
