All the more reason to keep Japan's borders and immigration practices tight when dealing with this area. Seems most countries terror threats and actions are from that part of the world. This has nothing to do with the US as some would want to believe, as the battles out there have been ongoing way before the US was even around, so statements to that effect are worthless. Reality is that area is nothing but violent as media has proven time and time again.

Only thing they can do is to attach PMC operators to JICA teams in dangerous places so that to guard them.

All the victims of this appalling atrocity were all innocent civilians, let not lose sight of that. this is not the time to apportion blame on prime minister or anyone. the victims are all workers working for a firm like any other person working in a foreign country.it is very unfortunate that this incident happened.i wish the families of the departed the fortitude to bear the irrepairable loss of their loved ones.

The image depicts the weight, strain, and anxiety of leadership. It is frankly harrowing captured momentary by Toru Hanai...

voiceofokinawa: How insulting that you bring your personal baggage and vendetta against the US armed forces onto a thread about innocents being killed, turning it into your own political issue in an attack on what YOU and YOU ALONE see as politics playing into it. You think they were killed because of SDF cooperation with the US??? Newsflash: it wasn't JUST Japanese in the restaurant, and the Japanese were not specifically targeted. NO ONE was spared the initial torture, unless they could quote scripture from the Quran, and then once the Bangladesh Military and police struck the place no one at all was spared that they could kill.
SHAME ON YOU!

One of the Turkish attackers was an asylum seeker in Austria and received benefits for 8yrs.
You can never tell till things happen. Right now it is assumed that he became a radical in Austria.

Why wouldn't he ?
Given the US army present in Japan since 45, it's hardly a surprise that Japan becomes target too for any US conflict.
That means they consider them as foreigners, which they are. Also, J-businesses are in Bangladesh on their own. You remember the Rana Plaza ? Well, in Dakkha, they have not forgotten.

Wasn't long ago the Japan govt was boasting about opening terror watch stations abroad. That being said, this has come about.

Kinda brings the message home though. Gonna be harder to avoid sending Japanese "Self Defense" forces to fight outside of Japan

Maybe he is... (but maybe for "other" reasons...)
