Yuji Ayabe, front left (a member of the comedian group Peace), and model/actress Nozomi Sasaki, right, take part in the opening ceremony for Tokyo's newest shopping mall, Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku, on Wednesday. The 7-story mall features stores dedicated to fashions and lifestyle goods, including American Eagle Outfitters, Tommy Hilfiger, The SHEL'TTER, as well as popular restaurants such as bills. Two other major shopping centers will open in Tokyo over the next week -- Diver City Tokyo Plaza at Odaiba on Thursday, and Shibuya Hikarie on April 26.

From the look of it that guy in the front must have got his pants from Tommy Hilfiger.

Matthew - Har! But I believe Tommy prefers red pants!

Great! More places for the boyfriends to get bored, and for the girls to waste money to keep up with the Joneses. I'm just surprised LV isn't there. Why on earth would a restaurant be called bills? What next? A shop called 'Gimme your money'?

Why do Japanese "comedy groups" have names? Is this because , like (say) AKB 48, they are composed of interchangeable memebers? Also, I notice that colorful trousers are a necessary part of their spiel.

haha, just like tommys pants, i like these ones to. I don't really understand what the model on the far right is doing? She isn't holding a sign up like the other models and she is a westerner. Is she someone famous?

"bills" is a restaurant by an Australian called Bill Granger. There are branches in the UK and a couple more in Japan... The ricotta hotcakes are amazing!

weird

@gogo .. maybe its cause this happened - " I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me" - Ape Simpson :p

That's nice. Another shopping mall with more places priced out of most peoples' range to just window shop.

And, out of all these new shops, how many include sizes other than tiny, short, or small ?

99 channels and still nothing on...

Although it took me several minutes (ok one hour) to even realize there was a guy in this NICE photo, I've come to the conclusion that Japan has far more TV comedians than they have regular people to watch them.

In my opinion Bill's is a horrible restaurant. I went down to the one in kamakura and was flabbergasted at the lines, but when I got in, so disappointed not only in the seats and decor, but the food also. Such bland boring Aussie fair. Maybe that is why typical Japanese like it it seems. Tasteless and tiny portions. Check out a cheese burger. Moss burger are larger and taste better.

Nozomi gained some weight and that makes her thighs look nicer. Balances the severe knock knees more proportionally.

Roppongi Hills? Midtown? Pffffft, get with the times...who wants to go to those dasai old joints? Tokyu Plaza is where it is at. Do what you're told, go there this weekend.

If there's just any stores out there that would reduce the girl's 2 hours for a 20 minute dress!

fashion....what goes around comes around. during the great depression any old trousers and slip on shoes had to do. only the rich could afford luxuries like spats and socks. this toaster is going for the rich post-chaplinesque look. it's ahot look now apparently, the internetz told me.
