Osaka Castle Illuminage

The annual Osaka Castle Illuminage recreates Osaka's history, as well as displaying the city's famous landmarks. In addition, there is an abundance of participatory fun. A panel that utilizes the latest technology detects the movement of the person standing in front of it, and the light moves together with the panel. Visitors can also enjoy LED steps that change color when stepped on. The display runs until Feb 22, 2024.

How was it?

I’m just right down the street, so I’d love to go if it’s not extremely crowded.

What is illuminage?

Illuminage is a freehand lightening technique that details and accentuates areas within the hair, framing the face and enhancing the perimeter, creating seamless transitions with multi-tonal reflections with a natural sheer result.
