America got a total solar eclipse in 2017 and I witnessed it. The Sun was 90% covered where I was, and it was a THRILL!

I remember a few years ago when the first solar eclipse broadcast live on the internet occurred. It was aired live from Kagoshima. I saw that live online itself, and some boorish American blogger (it wasn't me) had nothing to say about this bit of online history except what 'hawt legs' the female reporter had. No matter. I remember than bit of history, it was either 2009 or maybe 2013 or so.

These are some really good photographs here. Issei Kato did a splendid job. As an amateur astronomer, I love events like these and I would've loved to catch this one too. Anyway, in North America where I live we're going to get a total lunar eclipse later this month. YAHOO!
