Party girl

Ryoko Yonekura, 34, shows off her award for Party Girl of the Year 2009. The former ballet dancer and TV actress turned up in a sparkly number and took the time to dispense some party advice of her own just in time for the festive season. "Don't be shy. Just let yourself go and have a good time," she suggested.

Let us admire how gracefully she has aged in the past 12 years. Compare: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZ6f8SNixX4

I always had wondered why the Japanese women are so confused with their role in contemporary Japanese society. Having above "role models" and facing the traditional expectations of Japanese men (and their own mothers) explains a lot about their diremption.

I thought Nori-P won that one...or lost it?

What about Yoko from GasPanic?

In Japan everyone is a winner no matter how lame the prize.

Just like in kindergarten, everybody gets a prize so nobody cries. Better for the self esteem that way.

Wait...they give out prizes for partying now? Where were the judges for this when I was in university??

I'm guessing the term 'Party Girl' doesn't have the same meaning as it did when I was in university and they never got awards for it. Usually only STDs.

does anyone really think these awards are for pats on the back, more like promotions for their upcoming tv shows, albums, etc.
