Kimura's shoes are even worse than the ones Marie wore last week.

It looks like chalk.

What amazes me most is the totally unrelated Talento/actors they pair these visiting celebrities with. Most of the time it is just make the Talento seem like a real star or give them credibility to Japanese public. While most foreigners look as these pictures as more of a groupie taking a picture with a real celebrity.

Metaphile, maybe she's doing one of the voices for the Japanese dub? I agree with you though, tarento are awful. JT already knows most of us despise tarento so I'm sure they won't be surprised.

What the heck is she wearing on her feet? Looks like she's asking for a trip to the doctors, they're not healthy at all. Don't look good either, not to me anyway. Plus he's not so tall that she needs stilts anyway, so I don't see the point.

But the film? Anyone seen it? Is it any good?

He was obviously bitten by a vampire.

"The Lightning Thief"

He steals lightning? What about thunder?

Interesting they didn't list the ages.

Logan Lerman: 18

Yoshino Kimura: 33

Interesting paring. Say something about the target J-market, I suppose.

She looks as though she sprained her ankle, and all they had at the doctor's office was some black electrical tape to wrap it with.

Another movie with such a bad title. Yes, I know it's based on the book and all, but still....

I did a google search and lo and behold there are actually good pictures of Yoshino Kimura out there. It looks like she forgot to do her makeup and hair for this pic.

I saw it when it came out here; if you're not a purist to the book, it was pretty good. They took a lot of liberties, and some of the book fans were pretty miffed, but the author didn't mind. The special effects are a bit rough, but the story is good and it's quite funny.

GW: actually I meant to say that because of Japan's bad entertainment, it makes the West make that much better...indeed there is a lot of crapola from Hollywood.

Really like the dress. Jewelry is OK, too. Shoes? Weird as this style is, and I laughed at B'hat's "electricial tape" comment, it works for me. Nice looking guy, too.
