Not only they do volunteering, they need to be in direct sunlight during summer.

Guess there are perks after all for being a volunteer. Free wide space to enjoy without needing to pay skyhigh prices for tickets.

It seems to me Japan should not have built such very expensive stadium for much more spectators expected, because actually a few spectators in new stadium. Japan should have used the old stadium built in 1964.

With all the money spent, why volunteers? Pay then a minimal wage. And housing & food.
