Looks like a kinda cool place to go to for photographs.

You'd smell like an old lady.

yes, lavender perfume is my favourite. I wonder if Gunma prefecture governmental office sells it. Willing to buy it.

I would like to spend one (at least) day and night in this field.

You'd smell like an old lady. Be sure to get a blue rinse to complete the look.

I'd like to go there to see that, but it would cost too much.

true, that's why we don't see any visitors in this picture :)

japanlori - To add to a list of other places in Japan where you can see lavender farms, there's one in Naka-Furano, Hokkaido. They even serve lavender-flavoured soft-ice cream!

Beautiful & romantic Picture.

Is there a hidden message in it?

(though it would be better if the land were back in use for food production),

lavender is used for medicinal purposes and has many applications.

I'd like to go there to see that, but it would cost too much. I wonder if sillygirl would be willing to put me up for one night...

She would be really silly to allow you. hahahaha have you ever been successful with a woman Sarge? This kind of scenery is really beautiful and is worthy of spending your money, Sarge. Do not be stingy, buy tickets and hotel for yourself and your important woman and visit the place!

I like these mass displays--tulips, lavender, cosmos--great use of idled farmland (though it would be better if the land were back in use for food production), and a sight better than a golf course, which can only be enjoyed by a few.

sorry sarge - the hubby would object.

Does anyone know where else in Japan can this type of park be seen right now?
