McDonald's burgers (also their fries) never decompose even after years of being left out in the open. The number of chemicals that go into these burgers are outrageous.

Untrue I am afraid - try it. Store inside and it will be different, but apparently quickly starts to stink.

A traditional fruit wedding or Christmas cake stored in an air tight tin can last for decades. Miss Faversham's (Great Expectations) cake would probably still have been edible.

McD's fries are good but I predict a lot of overweight J-kids if they keep eating that swill.

Don't pound on it until you've tried it is what I say. I'm not a Mcdonald's junky but I do like their fries. I'd have to go adn try it before I can say anything good or bad about the place. Sounds liek some of you ahven't even tried the place and already you are giving it a bad review.

The McDs burgers here are already premium compared to back home. I especially enjoy the liberal application of mayo and Japan only combos like the Mega Tomago. Anyway, prices are about the same and business should be brisk. Myself, I only do McDonalds to cure a hangover.

They got the metric system here in Japan. The Japanese don't have a clue as to what the bleep a quarter pounder is ha ha ha!

Joisyboy - I haven't seen the new place, but I've been in the old place a few times during countless walks by it, so, no, I'm not commenting out of ignorance. Actually some doctors have argued that preservatives have anti-carcinogenic and anti-oxidant effects. (Almost certainly outweighed by the downside of eating greasy crap.)

In my opinion, this "new" place is a blight on Omotesando. They basically just took the old McDonalds, and ripped out all the first floor seating. So now all the folks are sitting/eating along the sidewalk with bags of fries and hamburgers all the way up to Anniversaire Cafe. Completely ruined the ambiance of what was a small part of Tokyo with some class.

What I have to say about McDonalds & other greasy spoon places would cause quite a stir. For I do not go to these "greasy spoon" places since back in the early 70s. True I use to once in a while WHEN one could say exactly what they wanted in a hamburger & actually wait for it to be prepared. So proof that times have changed.

McDonald's burgers (also their fries) never decompose even after years of being left out in the open. The number of chemicals that go into these burgers are outrageous. I stopped eating their products about a year ago and whenever I get a craving for one of them I remind myself of these facts and the craving goes away.

Why doesn't McDonalds just release the quarter pounder over here?

and why they can't serve 1/4 pounder's in all their stores like the rest of the world?
