Shinto priests and Tokyo Sky Tree Co officials bow during a ceremony to mark the completion of the Tokyo Sky Tree, the world's tallest freestanding broadcast tower, on Friday. The 634-meter-tall tower will open to the public on May 22.

I think Sky Tree was modeled after the Yokohama Marine Tower, which was built in ....1961!
