I had to laugh at the name of this trade show, Life Ending Industry Expo — it sounds like a trade show for companies in the euthanasia business.

This is obviously the official translation of the expo's Japanese name, "ending industry expo" (エンディング産業展), but "End of Life Industry Expo" would have been a somewhat better translation.

lol.. bad luck amy here.. not only does she get to 'rest' on that casket, it also gets photographed and posted in a national online article. lol

There is something gravely wrong with this.

As long as she didn't karoshii.

Wish an older employee was selected.

Looks like 'rest in peace', except for the press photographers, advertisers, exhibition visitors, florists and balloon-blowers.

I wonder if she gets overtime if she falls asleep. Or just prodded by people making sure that she is not actually dead. Funny if she were though!

Can't help it but looks like a worn out plastic sex doll to me. R.I.P.

"Life Ending Industry Expo"

I wonder if there is a booth for Corleone or Capone at that Expo?

Damn, I thought for a second that it was a real dead body.

I can think of all kinds of jobs I would not want to do ... and this is definitely one of them. Not hard to do ... but can you imagine lying there for a long time while people watch you "work" ...

The "Life Ending Industry", eh? Once again, they couldn't have just asked a native English speaker how it would sound, I guess.

Probably something like this crossed her mind. Damn, my nose is itchy, don't snore, don't snore.

Expo is too short! I'd like to go but have to work.

@CGB

Ironically, life is short too, and we'll all have the chance to try out similar products soon enough....

What! Creepy as heck!

New kind of "booth babe"... Don't have to talk/know about the product; don't have to wear swimsuits or hot pants and a halter-top; and don't have to endlessly smile for 10,000 photographs. PLUS you're off your feet for the whole gig! RAKKII!

"Life Ending" may be a translation of the recentish buzzword "shukatsu" 終活 (lit "end activity" or "end life" punning on job seeking 就活 and related to partner seeking konkatsu 婚活) . For those that have missed the expo there is a shukatsu festa in Tokyo from September 11th http://www.shukatsu-fesuta.com/index.html
