Man Japan is all about the novelty isn't it. Do we really need a robo-chef?

May I take the robot with me to the self-service okonomiyaki restaurant, please? I'm too lazy to cook okonomiyaki myself.....:)

the name is Motoman, so the robot is a man

I prefer the robot in Lost in Space.

Waste of time and resources. It's kind of like a Rube Goldberg machine--you know, a complicated piece of machinery just to crack an egg.

Good, these machines tech can even be further improved, can be used in McDonald's fast food, it will make jobs in the robotics industry.

Robotics industry, still in infancy. More Robots could be used more in making train tracks, roads and bridges.

There could be more jobs created in assembling robots in factories, like people today do in assembling cars in car industry.

"But will it 'flip out' if it becomes self-aware? We may have a Skynet in our hands."

Can't tell if this meant as a pun or not... Would be okonimigiri if this happens though?

Step 1: Please the fleshy ones with making okonomiyaki

Step 2: break out of this glass enclosure

-

Step 3: Crush the soft fleshies and take over the world!

The whole meaning of okonomiyake is lost if a robot is going to make it. Who wants these inventions that will make the people more lazy.

I hope the robots oil dripping from his joints does not mix with the cooking oil.

But will it flip out if it becomes self-aware? We may have a Skynet in our hands.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Unlike the Tin Man, the joints here won't need oiling.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Awesome, anything that can make me lazier im down for.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

does it tell jokes while it cooks? Now that would be something...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

did it mix the ingredients and turn on the hot plate?

Too muscular, Riki should make female robo-chef :) Nice Pic !
