Henn na Hotel Tokyo Hamamatsucho is a clever choice for a stay in Tokyo with ample privacy. Why? The hotel near Daimon Station is not staffed by humans but robots. A stay starts around ¥10,000 per night, but if you walk past the hotel, you can check out the robot staff's lifelike features.

Ganbare Japan!
Excellent story and photo. This is the way of Future in Japan. There will be NO labor shortage, or need for immigration. These super intelligent robots are already starting to be used as seen here in the hotels, as well as hospitals, farms, factories and offices of the future. Japan will lead the way with this tech, even if companies like Honda are pulling out of the market.

'Super intelligent robots' made me LOL. As much intelligent and useful as Pepper that cant even move around for an hour without smelling of burnt resin.
That's obviously why they bought Boston Dynamics
Realistically, these okimono 'robots' could easily be replaced with Amazon Echo or Google Home doing the same job, but without the 'wow effect'. Dinosaurs at the reception desk sound entertaining though.

Horrible.

Japan 2100, a nation of doddering old fools in nursing homes having their bums wiped by bots b/c they were too xenophobic to accept cute nurses from SE Asia.

This is so your privacy can be ruined by other guests. Robots can't do anything about them.

Reminds me of the Johnny cab driver in Total Recall. Hope she doesn't try to kill you or burst onto flames if you don't pay the bill.

Robots are not needed... people in these types of jobs are robotic enough already!
