The Tohoku Rokkonsai Festival began Saturday in Fukushima City, with performers from the six major festivals of the Tohoku summer parading down Route 4 outside JR Fukushima station. Some 120,000 people came to see the parade and other attractions; another 100,000 are expected to attend Sunday. A map and other details can be seen at the organizer's website.
