Rolling around

When my granddaughter was 3 (she's 9 now), she did much the same thing. I was so touched by her joy playing in the piles of gingko leaves that I was inspired to write a poem:

golden gingko leaves gengki girl giggles her joy old man smiles nearby

They are, indeed, beautiful ! But be careful not to step on the nuts if you don't like strong odours !

Oh to be a child again !

I have felt immediately at ease looking at the child rolling around ingenuously on the yellow leaves of ginkgo. Nice picture!

Got one like this (a ginkgo) in my backyard! Superb tree :)
