Why no masks? They wore them on departure?
wallace
There was no TV coverage of them and like many others attending would not have sworn allegiance to the king.

There have been many articles on the coronation.

It was the top story last night.

I watched it on yt, my dog, what a waste of time. So much boring church music. And I still do not know why I watched it.

PS......forgot to write that I only watched it for 45 mins.

They look cute!

Yes, some of it was a bit of a dirge. Really needed some Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory or The Dambusters March.
I watched it all because it was the coronation of my King and as a Brit I'm proud of that. I also remember watching the coronation of QE2. I was only a small boy but we were the second or third family in our village to have a TV and consequently had a house full of people crowded around a 17" black and white Ferguson TV.

An honour for UK Japan's Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko to attend.

It occurs to me that the reserved and public service oriented Japanese and Norwegian royals are much preferable to the self serving English royals.

More importantly, where are their white gloves? Thank goodness Crown Prince Fumihito of Japan and Crown Princess Kiko are down-to-earth people even when attending the KoE's swaree.

Some research on the Norwegian royal family is needed. Start with Crown Princess Mette-Marit and then Princess Märtha Louise and then take a closer look at Crown Prince Haakon.
