@Roten I wish she had been in an air-conditioned booth. If she was there as a princess fulfilling her royal duties, then I get why she had to wear what she did (if that were so, then I’d love to see her with her tiara, ha, ha). But if she was just there to watch the game in person, why not wear something more comfortable for the weather and maybe invite a friend or two?

@itsonlyrocknroll I like that she gave her sister a hug when Mako left the palace for good. Mako was bowing to her parents, and then she went to Kako and Kako smiled as she embraced Mako. I felt both girls were told what to do, but Kako was screw this, I'm going to hug my sister!

Absolutely yes.

箱入り娘 What an unfortunate life.

Princess Kako is likely accustomed to being photographed while attending events, but I can't help but wish she could truly enjoy moments like this with a couple of friends by her side, dressed casually and free from the formality. The men surrounding her, all in suits with that 'I'm on the job, entertain me' look, are clearly just the hired help.

My thoughts exactly when I saw that picture. I hope that it wasn't too hot at the tournament.

Princess Kako is devoted to duty.

From birth, to rise above politics, to represent the soul of Japan, its people.

Princess Kako, truly stunningly beautiful, very natural.

I read Princess Kako has inherited her fathers short temper.

Good for her...

Can't go buy a pizzaman at the combini, stroll around Shimokitazawa, book hunt at Jimbocho, have a quick lunch with friends on top of Skytree or enjoy a weekend out at Nasu, Hakone, Karuizawa, etc. I'd go out of my mind.

Yes she is living a life of ease on the public yen.

But Kako could be an attractive face to set an example for a Japan stepping into a new era of profound change,

I hope she steps up to the challenge and finds her way.
