Guests wave Union Jack flags as they pose with wax figures of Britain's Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, during a media briefing for the opening of the Madame Tussauds Tokyo wax museum at Odaiba in Tokyo on Wednesday. The museum will open to the public in March 2013.

I just came back from a three-week holiday to Japan and I was happy to see how many people were wearing Union Flags on bags, T-shirts, etc... Nice.

The wax figures are amazingly well-done. Very lifelike and in natural poses.

Madame Tussauds is very popular in London, especially amongst tourists. I'm sure the Odaiba branch will be equally busy when it opens. It will be interesting to see what other models they will have. I wonder if it would be considered disprespectful to have models of Japanese Imperial family. Although the London branch has the British Royal family, the last time I was in there the public was not allowed to pose with them.

They can get so close to these two because there's no danger of a wax figure speaking to them in English...

Pathetic nonsense. Useless wax figures of useless celebs - makes me ashamed to be British. Exporting blandness - what an achievement.
