Santa costumes can only be a real drag literally in the water. Besides Dolphins are smart enough to know Santa isn't real, unlike another bipedal mammalian species.

What's the porpoise of the Santa costume?

In the debate over marine mammals in captivity, the public display industry maintains that marine mammal exhibits serve a valuable conservation function, people learn important information from seeing live animals, and captive marine mammals live a good life. However, animal protection groups and a growing number of scientists counter that the lives of captive marine mammals are impoverished, people do not receive an accurate picture of a species from captive representatives, and the trade in live marine mammals negatively impacts populations and habitats. The more we learn of marine mammals, the more evidence there is that the latter views are correct.

MiuraAnjin: get over it already! I am sick of people here whining non-stop about the cove. This is just a pic of a diver dressed up as Santa with dolphins and I am sure it will make some children very happy. It may even inspire them to be marine biologists instead of the same old lame "pastry chef, flowershop owner, businessman". For once, I would like to see something about dolphins or whales on JT without the who Taiji thing brought up.

For once, not a dolphin slay but a dolphin sleigh...

A diver dressed as Santa Claus swims with improbably lucky survivors of the annual Taiji (aka "The Cove") porpoise slaughter. The underwater feeding session, involving divers dressed as Santa and dolphins that miraculously survived transportation from Taiji to Yokohama and the barbaric "training" that ensued, will take place every day until Christmas Day.
