Good for them volunteering, but I'm not a big fan of this organization and its history as well as political affiliations.

They are a fundamentalist cultish organization/church that holds very regressive attitudes towards abortion, drugs, alcohol, gambling, and LGBTQ rights. Don't give them your hard earned cash if you are in anyway a modern, open minded type.

The Salvos help the homeless and the poor and hungry. That they are Christian no doubt irks some people.
