Vacation time in Japan?

It is a nice moment to watch dolphins swimming. A peaceful life is restored.

Better than a supermarket in Taiji, I suppose. Captivity, all the same.

Nice Photo!

I have some great memories of the place, I think from '94.

Nice shot
Foxie
That would even look nicer if it were in the ocean and those creatures would swim around freely.

The dolphin enclosure at Hakkeijima is pretty small... I remember feeling a little sorry for them when I visited a while back.
LuckyLangers
Surprised they didn't try and harpoon it?

Animal slavery. Free the fish now.

Yum yum!

Aquariums that look after the fishes are a good thing, they have doctors to take care, no predators, timely food.. life seems pretty happy in my book.

For humans. Kind of like Federal Prison?

I think if you look carefully, they are forming Japanese characters for "free us now!" Or it could be "we shall overcome". Depends on the angle.

Goo photo for then one can see that the mother dolphin is guiding its young one in swimming.

More like guiding its young one in swimming in endless circles instead of the vast ocean. It is completely immoral to hold this mammals in captivity. Makes me sick. Pretty picture of captives. How often do they have to replace them with fresh stock from Taiji because the hostages to our viewing "pleasure" go insane? Disheartening.
